# A Tie in the Senate

The official Senate parliamentarian has issued his ruling on the matter of the tie in the Senate. And he has ruled that the Democrats will control the Senate from Jan. 3, 2001 until Jan. 20, 2001 and will receive the right of first recognition on the floor of the Senate.
