Film Fest Frenzy resumes tonight. We unexpectedly landed some tickets for an Italian movie about growing up in Sicily from the director of _Cinema Paradiso_… in keeping with our plan to eat theme dinners before each of our movies this year, we’re grabbing some pizza at a tucked-away cafe near The Boy’s office before heading to our movie.
We’ve got movies every night from now through Friday, and a matinee on Saturday… when I’m going to find time to make a honey and fig tart for Rosh Hashana is anyone’s guess. _gulp_
Congrats on passing, **rigs**. I find that once I shove a factoid into my head, it’s really really hard to replace it with something similar but different… so it was a pain in the ass when I went to get my Bronze Cross and learned that they’d changed everything to do with CPR from just the year before when I got my Bronze Medallion. I have no idea how people who need to know CPR for their day-to-day manage to remember which version is right.

Howdy Y’all! Work, well, it was. Actually, the day went by pretty quick. I like that.
Tomorrow, my team is havin’ a potluck **N.O.L.** , ‘cept we planned out a menu so it’s not a real potluck. I just finished cookin’ up a pot of peas and butter beans with hamhocks. I wanted to put in some okra but word from most of my team members is I’ll get beat up if I do, so I didn’t. Okra in peas and butter beans is a like or detest thing. The peas, btw, are field peas with snaps. And the peas and beans are fresh. I shelled 'em myself. Nevermind that I did that a month ago and took 'em out of the freezer, they’re still fresh. As soon as they cool off, I’ll transfer 'em to the crock from the slow cooker and chill overnight. Tomorrow I can put the slow cooker on low and let ‘em finish cookin’. They will be good! Go Me!
**LiLi** any word on poor little Nat’s ankle? Here’s hopin’ it’s just a sprain, bless his little heart. Give him a special hug from Unca swampy, ok?

Page two? It’s Tuesday? Sheesh.
My kitchen and bathroom are mostly all scrubbed. I feel like I actually accomplished something today. I was going to do just the kitchen floor, then I moved on from there. I love the look of my white enamel sinks, but if it weren’t for bleach, I would be screwed having them, I tell you.
I’m already ready for my next weekend, and today is my Sunday. _sigh_

Tomorrow is trash pick up day in swampland, so that means the big trash can gets rolled to the road tonight, which I did just a bit ago.
So, I take the almost full trash bag out of the kitchen trash can to put in big trash can so it can make its merry way to the landfill tomorrow. I came back inside the cave to get a new trashbag to put in the kitchen trashcan. I open the door, I stand there, no trashbags to be seen. “How can this be?”, I ponder, “I know I just put a brand new roll of bags in here last week.” What? My trashbags come in a big roll. Deal with it. So, I continue lookin’, standin’ there, door open, lookin’ through everything.
Then, I remember. I don’t keep trashbags in the freezer. :o
Yep! I was standin’ there, freezer door open, frantically lookin’ for a trashbag.
You may all point and \ now.

**Swampus** , I won’t snicker, because I will be on the same locked ward as you. Today I went to spell my last name on the BLS (CPR) card and spelled it wrong–not just one letter off, either. :eek: I also said that tonight we would be having bicken and chiscuits and didn’t realize what I had said. Not to mention earlier yesterday when I couldn’t remember the word I wanted (“reputable”) and it came out “equitable”, but I meant “good”.
I am losing it. I colored my hair and didn’t do the highlight portion. I’d show you all, but it’s still wet. Yes, I do know I colored a few days ago, but I’m just free associating now. Free basing sounds more fun…

That’s funny, **taxi**. Don’t they turn out very slightly different because one has an odd number of stitches and the other even? Still, I really liked the Montana scarf, too. And if you use different types of yarn they’ll look even more different.

It’s a good thing I wasn’t reading that in public, because anybody seeing me would have decided I’ve finally gone off the deep end.
Can you still place sheet music on its holder even though the piano is cling-free, or does the cling-freedom just prevent people from trying to hug the instrument?
Why did those accountant people name their new excuse for torture after a presidential cat anyway? And they even misspelled the name!

The big challenge this mornin’ is to remember to take the peas and butter beans to work, along with the slow cooker. SOX Thus, there is a big note taped on the back door that says, “DON’T FORGET THE PEAS AND BUTTER BEANS!!!” SOX Surely even I will see that. 😃 SOX
