This qualifies as _ **poignant** _ by any standards. I feel honored to have known you through the miracle of the Internet and the one time we met in person, in Norfolk. May you enjoy retirement, and contribute as worthily, if perhaps not as often, to the world-wide community that is these boards, because we’ll miss your wisdom and gentleness if you don’t pop in from time to time. Thanks for being you. I’m blessed for having had the experience of knowing you a little through this board. And I think it’s absolutely terrific that Unka Cece is giving you full retirement benefits – the Doper public may not be aware that **Uncle Beer** is getting fully as much salary from the Straight Dope in retirement as he did as an active Mod. 😉 ---
