I think the idea is to push the parents to choose not to have the more invasive procedure, this saving the company money.

'Zactly. There are actually three options: the expensive difficult treatment, the inexpensive easy treatment, and the totally free no treatment.

By approving only Door #1 they hope to stampede the family into Door #3, thereby skipping Door #2.

Yep. I mean, why subject yojr child to the risk of literally havi g the top of their skull removed? They’ve survived this long, haven’t they?
