Sorry about your snit.
Don’t worry, though, I never was holding a proverbial gun to your head or anyone else’s. 😃 Actually, that person’s response bothered me all the rest of the day yesterday. Because frankly, I haven’t taken anybody’s side. I was just explaining my particular situation and asking for possible solutions. To be met with such hostility bothered me when, in fact, I was just looking for ideas. Of course, I always want everybody to get along but I guess it isn’t always possible. I guess the day that I get that through my head I’ll be better off.
Ok, I’ve been in my own lack of sleep induced snit today, too. So I’d better go to bed soon.
ETA: I don’t think I was such an attempted peacemaker until my parents initiated their divorce. Interesting.
Also, thanks for the update on **LiLi, GT.**

**Bunz** is refering to a Facebook spat. I defriended an ex-Mumper who twisted the knife a little too hard. I was snitting already when that happened, and the incident pushed me over the edge.
**Bunz** , I have a lot of sympathy for your position, but discussing everything is best done elsewhere.
Still snitting today, but the intensity is down a bit.
ETA: I hope **LiLi’s** APGAR goes to 11.

Ah.
People are weird when it comes to politics.
So I told my supervisor I’m quitting in the summer. He was very nice about it. I’ve had an offer from another department but I may just go back to teaching for a while. Need a break from office work.

They’re not subways, they’re local trains. Back in 2002, Philly-NYC was $144 with Amtrak, $12 by switching from Septa to whatever-the-ny-ones-are-called.

Morning all - happy Tuesday. Thinking good thoughts and healing thoughts for **LiLi** - thanks for the update earlier, **GT** - I just checked and nothing more has been posted yet. So good thoughts to the new little one as well.
At work, caffeinated and am getting ready to have some herbal tea now as well. It is good to see you, **kai** , and please share what you’re comfortable sharing.

I’m trying hard to change my 'tude, so here’s something a bit different than the crap I’ve posted the past couple of days.
A few weeks back, there was an unspecified incident with a private firearm on the Coast Guard base where I work, and ever since, the gate guards have been grilling everyone about possession of personal weapons.
Depending on who the guard is (meaning I know them to have a sense of humor), my stock answer is that I have nothing in my car more dangerous than trauma shears, and there’s plenty of people in my office I would not want to see nekkid.
Today, I changed it a bit. I admitted to having fishing tackle, and the fish in the area are now quaking in fear. 😉 😃

OMG! He’s a Terrorist Sports Fisherman!
For me, it would be more like I have fishing tackle, and the fish die laughing as I couldn’t catch an old boot if I tried.
My irk has been well and truly irksome. Let’s just leave it as how Lean Six Sigma is not my friend. I’m feeling like a supreme ass and bad guy for quizzing people on why they screwed something up. I’m not the guy who found the error. I’m not the guy who told you to fix the error. I’m just the guy trying to find out why errors are happening so maybe we can look at the overall process and fix the booby-traps where errors are happening so we don’t make so many errors. Some people understand this and think it’s wonderful, but a lot of people are resentful of any reminder that they’re not perfect.
Good news on the DH employment front. He had a temp job a few weeks ago and lost it as he was apparently just filling a space until their new hire was up and running. Once this person was there, he was reluctantly let go as he was good and the new person was not, and was already complaining about their duties on the first day. His placement agency called this morning and asked if he was available to go back to them starting tomorrow. 🆒 Don’t know yet if they want to shower him with rose petals and hire him full-time or what the plan is, but he’ll find out tomorrow.
