I got a plastic six shooter, that had reak chambers, and plastic bullets. The plastic bullets were in two pieces. The casing had a spring mechanism, and the slug cliped into the casing. You loaded the chambers, and the gun shot out the bullet slug from the spring pressure, when you pulled the trigger. Parents think the guns have gotten more realistic over the years, they don’t know how wrong they are on that one. The casing and slugs were the right color plastic. Think if they added a cap gun feature so a cap went off when the slug came out. That would have been the ultimate imatation pistol.

My older brother had an automatic pistol like that. He used to shoot the rest of us with it then make us retrieve the bullet pieces so he could fill up the clip and shoot us again. Good times.

My beloved Barbie Townhouse, circa 1976. The 3-story house with the injection-molded plastic furniture, and the elevator that stopped on each floor!!! Never mind that the elevator was operated by a string which I had to pull. Damn near blinded myself trying to dismantle it once…not sure why I tried that… :smack:

Spent a long time last night on ebay reminiscing about that stupid thing. This thread brings up the bestest memories. What will our kids talk about in 30 years… xbox, playstation, gameboy… no comparison to the toys of Christmas past.
