Bean soup is in its last 20 minutes or so of simmering. Iā€™m out of celery. I donā€™t recall running out of celery - I wonder if I accidentally threw it in the trash. So I just tossed some dried celery leaves into the soup for flavor. ---

UGH! Every so often, non-Christmas errands collide with people doing their own Christmas errands. Put another way, why did someone think putting the cobblerā€™s shop within a half mile of Toys R Us, Target and Trader Joeā€™s was a good idea? The only thing missing from this parking lot of delights was a post office. ---

Dindin has been ingested, and cheese thangs are made. OYKW just left with his own container of cheese thangs. I predict they will be gone inside of an hour and he will have a tummy ache. Eveninā€™! I called in on the way back from irk at the 24 hours supermarket, and hit the used vegetable jackpot; I got a big bag oā€™ spinach, a swede (rutabaga to you), parsnips, carrots, potatoes, celeriac, chillis, and chicory, plus a bunch of flowers, and had change for Ā£1! Most of it looks perfectly fresh as well! Soup ā€˜n roast vegetable mekkinā€™ tomorrow, I reckon! Lucky Iā€™m not irking til 5, though I did reluctantly accept a sattiday shift at the post office. I was planning on having it off, but itā€™s now looking like thereā€™s only a few days left of the postie stuff (they canā€™t make up their minds, honestly), and January will be dead for the securitatinā€™. I should be a sensible person and get the irk while itā€™s there, even if I donā€™t wanna. ---
