I don’t remember if I mentioned this or not, but about three weeks ago my cordless landline phone went to its reward. The base went kablooie. Quit workin’. Just sat there. Anywho, it was still under warranty so I sent it back to ATT from whence it came. A little while ago, I opened up the front door to da cave to hang a wreath on the door (I remembered I possess a Christmas wreath!) and there was a UPS package there. I hardly ever open the front door as I go in and out of da cave through the garage mostly. I wonder how long it might have sat there. The last time I even looked at my little stoop there was Sattidy before last when I was doin’ yark irk and blew off some leaves from the stoop. Anywho, it’s all plugged in and chargin’ up. Just got a Christmas card from Der Pa. It looks like I’m going to do the same thing I did last year: go to Hometown on Christmas Eve, take Der Pa to church for the cantata, then go to Oldest Sister’s for the family get-together, then take Der Pa back to his house before coming back up the mountain where I have to be at irk at 7 a.m. on Boxing Day. At least this way I can get some of my stuff out of the attic of Der Pa’s house like I’ve been meaning too. ---

In about three more hours, we’re picking up ANOTHER high school friend, and pointing the Edge toward LAX, where the girl who puts the \*\*kaylas/B] in **kaylasdad99** will be arriving for her Christmas break from Marymount Manhattan University. Just think, for the next six weeks, when we get upset with each other, we’ll be able to yell at one another _FACE-TO-FACE_! I’m so excited! :):D:cool:😛 ---

New furnace went in today and I’m already feeling the difference; multiple speed fan so you don’t get that draft thing before the heat – just heat. As bad luck goes I could live with more of it like this. ---

Blurf. I did not have a good night, couldn’t sleep and woke up at all sorts of odd times. In fact, I woke up thinking it must only be about 4am and it was 6.29am, one minute from the alarm going off. How did that happen? Consequently I am sleepy and I haz a blurf. I delivered the first batch of birthday and hexmas presesnts last night, had a natter with a friend and have offered to feed one of her cats over the break if she’s not able to catch him and take him to the cattery. He is a rescue cat and although he’s been with her for several months, he is still very wary and nervous. He comes closer to her now than he did when he arrived, but he is still not comfortable being too close to people - she has taken him to the vet once but getting him into a carrier was quite a trauma so if she can’t catch him on Sunday for the cattery trip, I’ll be feeding him instead. Other than that, not a lot going on. It’s hump day, so that means a pub visit tonight to look forward to. Irk is boring, I have pretty much nothing to do and I’ve got to fill my time until we get let out on Tuesday…not sure what I’ll fill it with, perhaps I will go and tidy the archive cupboards or something. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated, and purtified for irk, so no _YAWN_. 'Tis 42 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 64 and sunny. **DAAAAAAD** yay for daughter comin’ home! Hope y’all have a great visit. **ruble** yay for new furnace and bein’ all toasty and warm. As soon as OYKW finishes purtification, we’re goin’ to MickeyD’s for a bizkit, bein’ as we are gourmets and all. 😃 Irk shall include the usual stuff plus me futzin’ around with new irk toy and gettin’ familiar with the usin’ of it thereof. I hear rumblin’s from the bedroom so Ima guess OYKW is now presentable. Happy Hump Day Y’all! ---

I’ve started my day by attacking the oven. I scraped up the loose solids, then squirted in some soap and added hot water and let it sit. I cleaned what I could, but there’s a lot that’s baked on pretty good. I’ve got to run some errands today, and I’ll grab some oven cleaner while I’m out. I’ve also got to do some laundry, which I should start right now, I guess. And shower and dress - whew - busy morning already!!! We’re promised a nice day - mid-50s and sunny, which is quite rare in December, so yay! And we might get a rain/snow mix come Saturday, but for now, we’re good. So, Happy Wednesday!! ---

Two finals down, two to go (one this evening, the other tomorrow evening). Must try to see someone today about problems with registering for a couple of next semester’s classes. At least it’s a short shift at irk today (four hours). I’ve already warned DH I intend to go to bed as early as I can tonight and sleep as long as I can, since I have tomorrow off irk. I am NOT getting enough sleep lately. ---
