No point - just overstating the obvious. 😃 I’m showered and dressed, the first load of clothes is in the washer, the dishwasher has been emptied, and refilling has begun. Once I get the jeans on the line and throw in another load, we’re running to WalMart so’s I can get enough yarn to finish my afghan, and \*\*FCD \*\*wants to stop at Michael’s for some art canvasses. I should probably run the vacuum around the floors at some point. Yep, the joy of retirement… ---

I need to kvell on the sprog. Airman and I had a parent-teacher conference today with the sprog’s teacher. She is quite impressed with his overall grades, as are we. He’s got straight Bs, which is impressive for the first half of the first term. He asks excellent questions and has excellent, intelligent, insightful answers. He’s a little lacking in the organizational department, but he’s going to get help with learning strategies for that. I am so proud of him. He’ll fit right in when he’s old enough to start posting on his own next summer. 😃 ---

**Rockin’** yay for the sprog! **MOOOOOOM and BBBobbio** that was my first thought re kosher turkey. 😃 GMTA! Yes, I am goofin’ off. Why do you ask? So far no payday whineage, but I am takin’ care of a lot of little, tedious, boring things and I need a break from that for a bit. ICK! I can make a lemon meringue pie that is tasty and has a meringue so beautiful it makes church ladies weep with joy. ---

If you really want to know, **Moooom** , it’s because they birds have to be dispatched in a particular way, with at least one Rabbi present, and likely a few leading members of the community’s Jewish population, especially those trained in the Laws of Kashruth, and there are prayers to be said. And all these peeps gots to be paid. ---

Happy Firday! Going to be a pretty day today, it’s already 59 degrees with a high of 67 predicted. I think when I get done with irk this morning I’ll go get my emissions test done. Then I have to get cleaned up and figure out something to wear to the viewing. Then more irk tonight. My last two paychecks have sucked and this week isn’t looking much better. ---

Short of building a new plant, it wasn’t going to happen. We did, however, process halal product. **flytrap** , you forgot ice cream on your no-garlic list. 😃 Back at irk today. What about savoury pies?Dead common over this side of the pond- I’ve had loads of pie that had garlic in, and jolly nice it was too. I hereby vote for the removal of pie from The List. I did do a bit of walking round applying for jobs today- dunno if I’ll hear back from any. The sweet shop (candy store to most 'o you) was advertising; in the time it took me to hand in a CV and buy myself a few sweets, three seperate small children tried to apply 😃 Also picked up a bunch of free second hand roof tiles, to build better beds at the allotment- these baby kale plants need somewhere nice to grow up, don’tya know! Hopefully we’ll get enough dry weather in the next few weeks for me to be able to do it properly. ---

Irk is done for the morning. My mood is not good, I need to go home. I know I shouldn’t feel this way but my mother is plucking my last nerve. Any thoughts I may have had of letting her stay with me for a while or staying here with her for a while have gone right out the window. The female half of the HFH was here earlier, hearing her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. OAOASO called and I hung up on him, don’t need to hear his bullshit this morning. He, like everybody else, thinks I should just put a big ole plastic smile on my face and suck the HFHs ass so we can get along. Not gonna happen and a great big ole one finger salute to anybody else who thinks I should. I can be civil, I can’t be fake. I sure as hell can’t suck ass, I don’t care who you are. I told Sah-son we would stay until Sunday. I may go home without him. ---
