**herbs** , I hope that your knees are feeling better soon. **nuts** , wise choice on not going to that interview. Paying them cash for a DBS is shady and paying for your own DBS is also a conflict of interest. Keeping busy at irk today. Dammit! I hit the wrong button and flushed my post! :mad: Summary - FIL is doing well - we just left him so he could get some sleep. His therapy is going extremely well - they had him up and walking twice today. We’re leaving in the wee small hours of the morning, and I’m ready to be gone. I miss my house and my bed and my kitchen. Oh yeah, and we had lunch at Sonny’s - YUM!!! That’s all. ---

Howdy from da cave! I had to be out and about locally and made the executive decision to head to da cave when I finished up. I shall go meet OYKW at our fav-o-rite Mexican place in a little while for an early dindin. He want’s Mexican and he’s buyin’ so who am I to argue. **Red** I don’t suppose you just happen to have a small plastic horse. Got my employee-sponsored flu shot a few minutes ago. I was a good widdle girl and got a wowwipop, and a Loony Toons band-aid, complete with Speedy Gonzales! I loved that non-politically-correct little guy! 🙂 - shlurp \* \* shlurp \* Mmmmm. Watermelon Dum-Dums. Tastes like victory … and a boosted immune system! ---

I got my charger today so no need to cuss at anybody. Good thing I didn’t hold my breath because settlement has been rescheduled for Thorsday. It will be in Catonsville - not that that means anything to anybody not in MD but I will be heading to my mothers tomorrow and leave from her house Thorsday am since it’s closer to her. Sah-son wants to see her and I think she wants us there. Her bf is dying, there is no hope. It’s probably just a matter of days, ---

I totally LOL’d, **Plant**. My condolences to your mom, **sari**. It’s a hard time for her, so I’m glad you can help, however you can. I keep getting distracted by my own nails. They’re bearing a coat of pale pink polish, which is unusual enough for me (I’m more of an acid-green toenails, bare fingers kinda girl) but they also have teeny sparkly rhinestones on them! Tee-hee! NewGuy’s sons’s birthday is this week and he got to have him\*\* this last weekend so we scrounged up enough cash to go to one of those nickel arcade places where you get tickets to trade in for silly little prizes. And I traded all my tickets for a sheet of sparkly pink rhinestone nail stick-on thingies, and they’re PINK, and I feel ever so girly right now. Then again, two little sparkly bits had chipped off within a couple of hours and I’m typing this with a python in my lap (getcher mind outta the gutters, I meant more like [this](http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Python_regius)) so I guess I’m not really fooling anybody with my temporary girliness. As temporary as the stickums on my fingertips… \*\* I hate that phrasing. Makes the kid sound like a borrowed sweater or something. Ok: we got to have him stay with us this weekend. There, that’s better. 🙂 ---

Ok finally caught up. Y’all are a chatty bunch. Irk is driving me crazy. Too many layers. If I gotta do HR’s job WTF is she doing? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr and Arrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggg On a brighter note I actually did a webinar and enjoyed it. Looking at you **Swampy**. I am going to expand sales with less staff and shorter hours oh wait…I did that last. FY. I am very anti waste but am guilty of being a slacker at times. No one cares except me that I saved money here or made more there. That I ended the FY with a net cash overage of 11$ in our favor w sales of over $1M. For the entire FY. No one cares. Or even notices. Well no more! I am going to demand additional staff. I will not be wasteful but dammit I need more staff. I know I have missed sending condolences. Nurse’s DH parent. I lost both my parents in 2000. Now my oldest brother is fighting cancer. He was never bigger than. 30" waist so of course with the chemo/radiation he is probably 100 lbs. he did get a feeding tube. He will not talk to me but thank goodness he has a young smart wife so she keeps me updated daily. He will call me when he feels like it. I have already got a plane ticket and rental car reserved early in Nov. gonna be cold for this island girl. My greatest fear is the driving from Atlanta airport. I am a good driver but I’ll be in a strange car with tons of fast moving traffic. I never drive over 50 on two lane roads. I am really worried about it. Having lost my parents I must say my Mama’s demise was especially hard but this is my Sibling. Just a different feeling.
