And a world without Indian contributions would get really awkward around NFL draft time. “and third pick would have gone to the Washington Humanskins but they’ve given their selection up to the Kansas City Leader People. How many of the gods of the Inca, Aztec, Olmec, Toltec and Maya demanded streams of human sacrifice? Off the top of my head, Xipe Totec demanded maidens be skinned alive and that his priests wear the skin as a ceremonial raiment. ---

Who said Aztecs were better than Romans? If anything I preffer Iroquois to Aztecs :rolleyes:, because the first were more advanced in human terms than Aztecs, and the brutal Romans, too. With respect to incas, the also had human sacrifices but just ocasional and never in the scale of the bloody Aztecs, the sadic Romans or the Protestant burning of Witches (200.000 in Germany alone). ---

Speaking of Native Americans, have you heard this story before? Well, one day, an Algonquin chief’s eldery father passed into the hands of the Great Spirit. The chief was beside himself. On top of his grief, he now had an extra dwelling to take care of and all the responsibilities there-in. Furthermore, he relied heavily on his father for guidance in leading the tribe. How could he carry on alone? He was unmarried, with no children. At the very least, who would take care of his father’s old place? There was a shortage of tobacco that season, and the stress was really getting under his redskin. At his wit’s end, he decided to see the tribe’s medicine man. After a long and perilous journey, he finds him and describes his troubles. He frets nervously in the medicine man’s abode, gesticulating wildly. After calmly listening to the man’s woes for what feels like many moons, the medicine man stretches, yawns, and casually replies: Relax man, you’re two longhouses. ---
