Today was productive. I dropped the laundry off, returned the broken TV/DVD player to the warranty place, went to Trader Joe’s, and signed up for a [Fair Isle](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_Isle_%28technique%29) class. The class project is a child’s sweater in black, red, blue, and yellow. I think it’s hideous, but I’m guessing the colors were chosen to make it easy to tell your yarn apart, rather than starting with one of [these](http://www.virtualyarns.com/designs/classics.asp). I’d like to be confident enough to tackle an Alice Starmore by the end of the year. Like [this](http://www.virtualyarns.com/scripts/showitem.asp?ID=52) or [this](http://www.virtualyarns.com/scripts/showitem.asp?ID=51) or [this](http://www.virtualyarns.com/scripts/showitem.asp?ID=42). Yum. I’ve also rented a small dumpster for delivery on Friday. I’m going into work tomorrow afternoon for a half day. I’m not sure that I’ll have any actual work to do, but it will give a chance to meet with the woman covering my desk while I’m out. I think I get to take the rest of the day off. Watching movies and knitting sounds like a good idea. ---

[commence whine] Still not feeling better and I cannot get warm with blankies and bedsocks and the heating on. Gah! Hate being sick and feeling worthless and weak. I am bored - I don’t have the energy to do anything and reading gives me a headache. [/whine] Sorry. I am a bad patient as I don’t have anyone here to look after me. On the plus side it is almost the weekend 😃 It does seem quiet in the MMP today don’t tell me people are being productive at work! ---

[/QUOTE] Done-It-Themselves aluminum wiring and FPE?? **Ohmigoawd!** I’d move two blocks away from any dwelling with that combo! (For the curious, Federal Pacific is perhaps best known as the only maker of residential circuit breakers to lose their UL listing because their products have a nasty way of having their internal contacts weld together so the power is always on, regardless of whether the handle is in the ON or OFF position, and they also don’t trip out on overloads. They’re a fire or personal injury waiting to happen. Fortunately, they’re easy to spot - if your breaker panel is filled with breakers that have orange tips, you’ve got bad stuff. (Not to be confused with Square D’s excellent commercial grade “QO” breakers that have a little window that shows an orange flag if the breaker trips.) ---

I went and made me some comfort food. Tuna Casserole was et, and enjoyed by all! (Including the pups!) I love some ooey gooey cheesy yummy stuff… (Have I mentioned lately how much I hate that my hubby works nights? I thought I had. We _still_ didn’t work on his damn resume. This weekend, fer sure. If I can get him to sit still long enough.) Thanks for the suggestion of chili, y’all! I’ve been working on my menu for next week, and needed a hamburger idea. Chili! Yum! Then we’ll have hot dogs later in teh week, with homemade chili. Yum again! I have a recipe for beer-battered onion rings I want to try, to go with the hot dogs. Recipe on request (but I haven’t tried it before.) Gonna go play some games, until I need to go to bed. I had night sweats all night last night, and didn’t sleep well. It sucks when you go to bed freezing, all snuggly in your jammies, and wake up at 2:00 am sweating your ass off and stripping down to nuthin’, laying under the ceiling fan. Sorry - that was TMI, I’m sure. 😉 ---

Hi everybody. Today felt looooong. Probaby because I didn’t want to be at work. Thank goodness tomorrow is my Friday. Uh, **GT,** that was ME actually volunteering to do a MMP when a Monday is free. I know it’s shocking, but **Mooooooom** made me feel bad in that way that only moms can make you feel. 😛 At any rate, give me a date, and I’ll be sure to post one. Just let me know a little bit in advance so I can write it up, 'kay? Gee **ems,** I hope you get to feeling better soon. You know what you could do for “instant” warmth? Toss one of your blankies in the dryer for a bit. That way it’ll be all toasty warm when it comes out and make you feel good. I’ve done that before. Of course, you’re probably in bed by now, so it’s probably a moot point for tonight. Think about it for future “Teh Sicks”. Lessee…what else…what else…hmm, I’ve got nothin’. Just once I’d like to come in here with some super-spectacular news or something super-spectacular to write. I guess I’ll read for a bit. Nighty-night. ---

Great pic, **CutiePie** , and just ignore the parent’s comments 'cos we all think you look great and it’s our opinion that matters, right? **Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmms** , I think you’ve been sending Teh Sick through the CD drive over to me. Last night I felt really icky, went to bed far too late ‘cos we went out with friends and then I was achy and shivery then really hot. I don’t feel any better today (largely due to lack of sleep) and to make matters worse, I had to come into soddin’ work. Oh well, at least Tin Knickers isn’t here until next week. So today I have eye drops, nasal spray, Lemsips and cough sweets to keep me amused. I plan to go home early though, I don’t think I could face an _entire_ day of work!
