I’m sorry your wife lost her iPad, but yes, good thing she’s ok. There’s a lesson here for those of us who get complacent about our sense of safety and security when it comes to tech gear. I like to take advantage of McDonald’s wifi when I am on vacation at a place without it, but always try to sit as far from any door as I can, always facing the room and aware of anyone getting at all close to me (I don’t go at lunch time). Still, that doesn’t make my device all that much more secure, and there’s always the walk from the table to the car if someone has been waiting for me to get out of that corner.
