I found this pictures depressing. Not just what has been happening and has happened but that a significant part of US History is disappearing. Also, the work that was put into some of those places, like, the atrium in Farwell building. That railing, although simple, is not cheap and I bet that was hand made and would be exquisite first-hand. Not the knock-off, imported stuff, made by non-artisans. The UA theater in Detroit is another one. That looks like all cast-iron. Man, that’s worth a whole lot and was probably all custom for that theater and entirely one-off.
