There seems to be surprisingly little reporting on this, and of the handful of stories I did find, all used this story as their source. I have never heard of thedesk.net and I have no good opinion about how trustworthy it is.
This would have happened Friday evening 09/19, so by today it should be clear that it did or did not happen. But I’m having a hard time finding independent corroborating sources.
Please provide any cite from a credible source or otherwise where even an anonymous source at ABC said that Kimmel was pulled off the air because the show wasn’t making a profit.
In the same post you’re quoting I went on to say “IF, and I say IF he’s already costing ABC money then I don’t see any way to fix it.”

What words is he supposed to apologize for, and why is there also a stipulation from Sinclair that he contribute money?

It was true here in Portland, where Sinclair owns the local ABC station.
For implying the shooter was a supporter of Trump.

That’s not even close to what that implies. It’s saying regardless of what he is, they are more concerned with making sure to put it out there that he isn’t for personal reasons.
He implied no such thing. That one single sentence was a dig at MAGAs. Sinclair is demanding that he publicly apologize to Kirk (who he did not insult) and not to MAGA, and give a substantial amount of money to Kirk’s organization for a possibility of getting his show back. This is extortion, plain and simple.
“Nice show you got there, be a shame if it didn’t stick around.”
He implied a Trump supporter was murdered by a Trump supporter. It’s a callous dig at Republicans right after a political murder that was fresh in the news. It was completely inappropriate.
It’s pointless for you to try and argue and dismiss how other people feel.
