Sinclair does not own Fox; some of the TV stations which they own are Fox affiliates, while others are affiliates of the other networks (NBC, CBS, CW).

The Fox Television Network (Fox Broadcasting) stations (i.e., your local Fox affiliate) don’t, AFAIK, air programming from Fox News (which is a cable network). In fact, they have been completely separate corporations since 2019, and Fox Entertainment (which operates the Fox over-the-air network) is now owned by Disney.
Although Fox Broadcasting runs ads for Fox News during NFL games. Makes me throw up in my mouth a little each time I see one.

I also cancelled my subscription of Disney+/Hulu/Espn today, over the wailing and tears of my teenage daughter who has watched Hamilton on Disney+ daily for the past year. My wife and I took this as an opportunity to give her a history and civics lesson, tying the events of Hamilton into it all, and I’m pretty sure she’s less mad about us cancelling it now.

Trying to claim that advertising loss was to blame for the extremely abrupt cancellation of Kimmel’s show without any notice whatsoever is about as transparent as the Prez’s new clothes. It pains me to think that anyone actually believes that we are dumb enough to believe this.

All I’ve been saying is that “but the advertisers won’t be happy about this” isn’t really the case, and the networks aren’t going to be making these decisions based on what their advertisers would have to say anyway.
