you can figure it out from context a few mins in. not a total dealbreaker. i’m starting to like it more and more. it has a certain HIMYM early seasons-feel to it, but not quite. ---

I was pretty annoyed by the switch-up too, but I guess that shows I’ve developed interest enough to think those two episodes were completely pointless and should have been tossed instead of shown later. And I hated the old overdone “girl hooks up with rock star. . . years later he pretends he doesn’t know her” thing. ---

I hate when they air eps of a show out of order like that. Maybe it was okay 30 years ago, but it’s not anymore. Stopit stopit stopit ---

Well, I think these were pretty weak episodes, very much the “Dave & Alex show,” & the writers still finding their footing. So delaying them & showing later episodes instead may have helped the series’s ratings. Also, clearly the one with all the ridiculous _The Bachelor_ plugs had to be delayed to right before the premiere of the current cycle of _The Bachelorette_. :rolleyes: ---

I agree with you a lot in your post…but having to figure out the context in a mid season replacement show with eps 2 & 3 running in positions 10 & 11 (or 12 & 13) shows that someone in the network wants to see it fail…but the marketing people at the network are behind it ( see the ridiclous amount of promos that run for it). I would like to find out what was the intended order of the shows and watch them in that order. I also like you comparison to HIMYM in the early season. I think that was what the network was aiming for. It has a lot of the quickcuts and parralell storyline set ups that HIMYM does really well. I have seen that it was picked up for the fall. Here is to hoping it still does well next year! ---

Personally, I liked both Happy Endings and Cougar Town; but lately I’ve found my self fast forwarding though large chunks of the show.
