# Abdul Abulbil Amir, 2002

After the discussion of this old tune in another thread, I got to humming and revising on my way home last night:

The sons of the desert are brave men and bold  
and all thumb their nose at attack,  
But the bravest by far in the ranks of the shah,  
Was Saddam Hussein of Iraq.

If you wanted a man who could kill, main and ban,  
Or harass the foe from the back,  
Storm fort or redoubt, you had only to shout  
for Saddam Hussein of Iraq.

Now the Bushes were plenty and well known to fame:  
Kennebunkport and in Texas, too,  
And the bravest of these was a man by the name  
of President George W.

One day this brave son of a braver old man  
Had choked on a pretzel-like snack,  
So, in a bad mood, he decided to bomb  
Old Saddam Hussein of Iraq.

“Young shrub,” quote Saddam,"don’t let loose that bomb,  
or you’ll wish you could take it back!  
Vile infidel, know you have trod on the toe  
Of Saddam Hussein of Iraq.”

“You might as well knife your twins and your wife,  
And shoot your friends Blair and Chirac.  
For by this I imply, you are going to die,”  
Said Saddam Hussein of Iraq.

Then bold W cried a hearty “sez you!”  
And Dick Cheney had a heart attack.  
So with murderous intent Bush ferociously went  
for Saddam Hussein and Iraq.

They bombed and they gassed, ‘ere a moment had passed,  
All our missiles and nukes did debut.  
And no one could state where commenced all the hate  
Of Saddam and George W.

They fought all that night ‘neath the pale yellow moon;  
The skies all went glowing and black,  
And the bombs fell like rain from England to Spain,  
And on the U.S. and Iraq.

Now the desert is bare, save a bone here and there  
There is nary a mosque nor a shack.  
You will just find two piles of dust that were once  
Saddam Hussein, and Iraq.

In a bunker below where the White House once stood  
Sits a man with his tie all askew.  
With no people to rule, now he feels like a fool  
Does President George W.
