RIP, Abe. I’m an age where I barely remember _Barney Miller._ But I remember him coming out for short silent gags on _Late Night with Conan O’Brien_, and… …at some point we stopped expecting him to die. ---

As mentioned earlier, he was underused. The man had superlative comic timing (and was just as convincing in dramatic roles). RIP. ---

Was he the only person from the movie to do a voice for the Godfather video games? I know that Brando was paid but his voice had to be redubbed because he was weak and didn’t sound like himself. ---
