Abolish the Executive branch

Haven’t the rules changed since the Thurmond filibuster? It used to be that you had to actually physically filibuster–that is, stand up on the Senate floor and keep talking to prevent any other business from going forward. Now, you don’t have to do that – you just announce a filibuster and sit back.

About the Thurmond filibuster: apparently it’s been a long time since you had to stand there and keep talking to sustain a filibuster, and Thurmond only did it because he was that much of a publicity whore or was that vehemently opposed to civil rights.

This is what happens when you keep a constitution too long. It turns into a religion, and you know how religious sects can get with the variant interpretations.

Remember, kids, change out your constitutions every 75 years or less.

That’s funny. The tax-hating wing of the party runs up against the Muslim-hating wing. Who will win? And if either one wins, will we all lose?

I think the Muslim hating, Sharia Lawing, Talibanning extremists see their agenda as both directed by jeebus and having a higher profit potential than the tax hating group.

I’m hoping neither one wins and they both just implode on their own petards.
