In the UK, if the abortion is for medical reasons resulting from the scan, it’s not difficult to obtain an abortion; it is more difficult (but not impossible) to attain an abortion at that stage if your reasons are not obviously medical. ---

I used to think that too, as the OT seems very harsh, but when I started seeking the God of Love, as I knew one must exist, or if He didn’t then all is meaningless, I had to accept that if He existed He will show me that He is Love and He would have to teach me His ways. In my walk I have found that such events that are in the OT is what the people really brought on themselves. God warned them over and over don’t do this (mainly worship other gods), or else disaster will overtake you. God shows me He went to great lengths to warn us, but He is blocked by our desire to follow our own path. God allows us to follow our own path, respecting our free will. If God came down from the heavens it would negate this aspect for us, we would know the way. But we wanted to depart from Him and He has to allow that, and in doing so has to hide Himself from us. He will unhide Himself once we start really looking. The other gods want us not to come to God, as they want the worship, and as such is going to try to make God out to be the bad guy. I’m sure you know people who use this strategy, isolate you from a person by convincing you that they are somehow harmful. ---
