Ok, I am not sure if anything like this has been tried before but here we go. This is an issue of much debate and there are many strings attached to this issue. I am not sure some people of this board can answer this but lets see. In a yes or no answer -nothing more. Do you believe abortion is wrong, the way it is practiced today, with a healthy baby, with a healty relationship between its mother and father when the baby was conceived. And there is not health risk attached as to when the mother has the abortion. Is it wrong to have this abort this child? (Wrong with the definition of murdering the child) _wait before you say there are still too many strings still attached_, If you cant do it with a yes or no then please dont post. This is just an interest of mine to see how many poeple can do it. Just please try, yes or no. I will start with a:
Yes.

Meh. It’ll turn into a debate eventually, so it probably just saves time.

You wouldn’t consider an [increased risk of breast cancer](http://www.abortionbreastcancer.com/) among women who have an abortion a health risk?

(My sister has an internship with [Feminists for Life](http://www.feministsforlife.org/) this summer, and she was the coordinator of her [college](http://www.brynmawr.edu/)’s pro-life club last year. I wouldn’t have known about the abortion-breast cancer link were it not for her discussing it with me.)

Whoops, I guess I’m responsible for that inevitable hijack. Sorry about the hijack; I forgot the OP just wanted yes or no.

Here’s one vote for Yes, it’s wrong.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled poll.

…I do but I was merely asking the question for sake of seeing who can answer the question in its present form. As seen by the yes after my question. I am against abortion. Now please only a yes or no.

Honestly, **Nomadic** , I’m having trouble fully parsing out your OP.

But, if I understand you correctly, we have the following assumptions:

Given
[list=1][li]Standard abortion practices,[/li][li]A healthy, normal pregnancy,[/li][li]A healthy relationship between the parents-to-be, and [/li][li]No appreciable risk to the pregnant woman,[/li][/list=1]

Is abortion morally wrong?

My answer is no.

Now, then. Can we define your terms yet? Work on clarifying the scenario and the questions?

Yes, it’s wrong.

And [abortion most certainly DOES entail health risks](http://www.hodesnauser.com/risks.html). Any surgical procedure does, but in the case of abortion, these can include both short-term risks (such as a perforated uterus or a compromised cervix) and long-term complications (such as increased risk of [ectopic pregnancies](http://www.epigee.org/guide/abortifacient.html)).

Perhaps I’ve got too personal a stake in this, but my mother had one a few years before I was born, and the 'rents weren’t ready to support a child (rather unstable Bahamian job market for GPs and surgeons). They’d also agreed on only two children, then tubes would be tied, so if my “sister” had been born I wouldn’t have been. (I use the quotes because I don’t believe a fetus is a life until it develops a functioning heartbeat and could theoretically survive outside the womb)

And if had been me aborted, you ask? Well, I wouldn’t have known, and thus, no, I wouldn’t feel differently.

No.

> American Cancer Society: Most early studies of abortion and breast cancer used a case-control study design, one that is very prone to recall bias. In these studies, women with and without breast cancer were asked to report past abortions and the frequency of abortions in women with breast cancer and the disease-free controls was compared. It is likely that the small increases in breast cancer risk observed in many of these studies were not authentic findings because of recall bias.

Not true. As **dutchboy208** pointed out in his link (and as echoed in [one of mine](http://www.epigee.org/guide/abortifacient.html)), the matter is far from settled. Quite simply, the medical evidence is conflicted on that matter.

So in conclusion, in a survey of an unknown number of people with an unknown response proportion, opinion is divided on whether abortion is right ('yes) or wrong ('no") given certain provisos.

Other news, bear, pope etc etc etc
