Recently, a link to [Garfield Minus Garfield](http://garfieldminusgarfield.tumblr.com/) has been making the rounds. Someone removes garfield from every frame of a Garfield strip, and (it is said) hilarity ensues. I don’t know of anyone who has pointed out that something similar–and much funnier–was done a couple of years ago: removing Garfield’s _[dialogue](http://www.truthandbeautybombs.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=4997&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0)_ from Garfield strips. This time, hilarity really does ensue. Well. I just wanted to note that. -FrL- ---

I just found [this](http://www.tailsteak.com/arbuckle/index.php?date=080118). It’s called “Arbuckle.” Basically, it invites people to take a Garfield strip, remove Garfield’s dialogue, and then redraw the strip themselves in whatever style they like. Results vary from stupid to bizarre to profound to funny. -FrL- ---

The parody where Garfield’s thought bubbles are removed reminds me of Tom and Jerry. ---
