You might still be able to watch The Holdovers on Peacock. I don’t pay for the service (though Xfinity is my cable provider and I may get a free low-end subscription?) and have watched several movies there. They start with several minutes of commercials and then run uninterrupted. ---

I’ll never understand this. Everyone is leaving money on the table. Now is the time to cash in. Instead they will all mess around asking for too much or other things and it never happens. And then none of them make money and none of us get to see the movie (I did in the theaters…I mean for those at home). If there is sense to be made of this I don’t see it. ---

I can hardly imagine a film more worthy of “Best Cinematography” than Christopher Nolan’s IMAX blockbuster! I’m not watching the Oscars but getting updates from CNN. Happy to see that _Poor Things_ is on a roll with three Oscars so far. Oppenheimer is doing well, too, but it’s a favourite in so many categories. No surprise that _Zone of Interest_ won Best International Feature and also Best Sound – sound was such a crucial element of that film. ---
