One that bugs me is the use of “reticent” to mean “reluctant”. I’ve seen/heard it so much that I assume it’s now considered correct.
And another peeve is leaving the -ed off of bias when one means “biased”. I usually assume the person saying it that way does not read much and is going by what they (mis)hear. I’m not so sure this has become normal yet but I’m afraid it will.
