Greeting all, I’m at an impass, and was hoping the Teeming Millions could give me a hand.

I’m trying to create a databasee with a field that is a date/time field, but allows me to only input the month and year. I can’t find anything that will let me do this,
Access seems to want to force me to put month/day/year. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in Advance.

When you create the field in table design view, simply type in mm/yyyy in the format line at the bottom of the screen. This will cause it to display like 09/2000 or 03/2002.

Hope that Helps!

You’re kidding, right?..I’ve been beating my head against the wall trying to come up with some strange conjunction of code and all I had to do was type it in the format line?.._sigh_. Just another addendum to this, any way to let me have both types of format’s in the same field? Giving them the option of either putting in the entire date (mm/dd/yyyy) or the abreiviated date (mm/yyyy)?
