David was related in that line to Adam, also son of God.

The heavens were also to be destroyed, so the new earth would mean that people would not be going to a heaven, but to another place, It is another Biblical contradiction.

The person who wrote this is no nore believable then some of todays prophets!

Your Daddy it seems to me is not a very nice Daddy, he loves to play cruel games with some of his children, but with people like David he just smiles and lets him start all over again. A human father would be put in jail if they Killed or maimed some of his children, who he didn’t let know he was their father. Such a being would be no better than the Satan that some people describe!

It seems to me that you have a religion of your own,and your own theology,On one hand you state you are not Christian, then on another you follow a Christian and Jewish Book, but translate it to meet your own ideas. If it helps you to live a better life I see no wrong in it, but since you cannot prove any of it, it still remins just one person’s belief and to me it is no different than believing in Gnomes or other creatures, nor is it any different than believing that Muhammad had a book dictated from God through an angel.

As for telling some one else that they don’t understand your profound mystery, maybe they understand better than you?

What town are you talking about? God saved the people of Sodom, Satan did destroy the town. I suspect you are confusing my God Lord Jesus with your god Satan. I do understand why you dislike your god, he is a monster and do give power to that belief but that is not the god I worship and adore, please don’t confuse the two again.

Please prove one thing ever written, taught , thought or read that wasn’t written by a human, or stated by a human, that it was of God! Moses is said by some to have written Genesis, He was said to be human and all the other writers in the Bible are named. They were human beings, just like you and me.

The burden of proof is on you, not me, to defend your premise.

I didn’t bring up supernatural beings, just that I question your premise that everything ever written was written by humans stated as fact.

Writing defined as marking something in a for later review (either by self or others) to relay intention this arguably happens in the animal word, bears will claw trees to signify their territory.

In our universe, having earth as the only planet with intelligent life would almost require a god, chances are there are other civilizations which have developed writing, chances are very high.

There is some evidence that has been interpreted that ancient people have been visited by aliens, and today such things as crop circles if extra terrestrial in origin do look like perhaps some form of writings.

Not to even mention the spiritual, your initial premise seems to be very shaky and I dismiss it on that basis.

What we can say it the scriptures were written by some unknown entity, unless we can determine the author we can not be sure the entity is human.

That is total nonsense! What entity are you thinking of? There is proof that humans wrote everything and you are the only one I have ever heard that disputed it. You “BELIEVE” it was not a human, and you need to prove what entity wrote anything and your response shows that you don’t, so you bass the buck.

Perhaps your aliens are your god?

Doesn’t matter, any nonhuman entity will do, it discredits your statement of fact, and as I said animals already use a very primitive form of writing - thus your statement is already discredited.

It appears to me that you have used a assumptive deductive technique commonly called Occam’s Razor:

It is also known as the principle of parsimony or the law of parsimony (Latin: lex parsimoniae). Attributed to William of Ockham, a 14th-century English philosopher and theologian, it is frequently cited as Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem, which tra...

You should state that you are using such a assumption method of reasoning when you invoke it. Particularly this one as it deselects other viable options, which is exactly your error in your false ‘statement of fact’

What animal has a form of writing, it is true they scratch on a tree or urinate to show territory, but I have yet to read anything on this earth to show anything, except what a human has written, read, thought, or taught. Perhaps the Bible passage that says, the son’s of God mated with the women of men, means humans came from apes and God had a lot of son’s, that would mean Jesus was not God’s only son as the NT claims.

Since I think both you and I are humans, we both could be wrong.

Your explainations are not anything like anyone else I have read, or heard. You have your own little way of thinking and that is your right,so if that makes you happy, then that is for you, but as for me, I have the right to doubt anything, unless there is proof. That includes if their are aliens who travel billions of miles to write something and it isn’t recorded anywhere on earth.

I prefer truth to belief.

I would disagree that that counts. Even when we, who certainly use writing, use similar kinds of marks, say, tally marks to make a count, we don’t call that writing.

I think I would define writing, at least in part, as communication on some material putting across intended ideas or concepts which are not inherent to the physical properties of the marks. If a bear claws a tree, the only meaning it has is that a bear has clawed a tree. Our posts here mean more than simply that we have created marks; they put across, and are intended to put across, arguments that encompass non-physical ideas.

I do believe that Christianity that we have today is a mix of Grace of Christ and Jewish law that Paul was saturated with (the 2 married into on as in Eph 5:31,32), which is exactly who Paul is until Paul’s death and Jesus’ victory in over Paul. I believe the only reason we have Christianity in it’s current form today was to save Paul, that is the length that God is willing to go to to save a single person, creation of a religion that lasts 1000’s of years.

You can believe it is God ,but maybe it is Satan keeping you from the truth? Jesus did say Satan disguises himself as an angel of light! Claiming things as you do,your god seems to be a bad being, and it seems a bit egotistical to claim you have a separate book from a god that is contrary to the God of others.

As a post script. How do you know that the writers you believe in or the being you consider your God is the true God? If God tells you one thing and others another, and you accept the writings of some of the NT but not the others it doesn’t make sense to me.

All writings from any one comes from a person’s own mind, some attribute it to God others don’t .A lot depends on one’s life experience, what they were taught , read, or desired. We tend to like to hear what people say( or write) that we agree with. But if we want to learn the truth we have to consider what others say or express and then see if it is rational and can be proven, if not proven, then we still seek what is true.
