Apparently in Acey-land, when dogs got sick, [you just shot them and got a new one](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=847331). Those were the practical days of his youth. How old is he anyway? Sometimes it sounds like he’s in a rocker with Ma, and sometimes it sounds like his youngest kid just left for college. ---
