Jesus, the guy who was from a local station was asked to move by a cop and hurriedly kept on talking to repeast some information he’d already talked about. Took at least sixty seconds to follow the request, just so he could keep his face on screen. ---

I’m seeing conflicting reports of one or multiple shooters from news sources on Twitter. I think there are often reports of multiple shooters in the early reporting that are later disproven. One reporter claims to have received a “manifesto” allegedly from the shooter. Who the hell knows if it’s legitimate or a hoax? The reporter says he’s passed it on to the FBI, who are “taking it seriously”. > ---

Reports of multiple shooters do tend to get changed to a single shooter but unfortunately reports of multiple fatalities never get changed to fewer. ---

It’s possible one or more of the suspects in custody was simply someone with a gun trying to stop the carnage. The natural response of the police would be to arrest him now and sort it out later. If there were 18 dead you would expect a significant multiple of that number injured. ---

I’ve seen it, but it was four pages and I didn’t read the whole thing. The bits I read were all about the writer’s hatred of Hispanics and fear of them “taking over”. Disclaimer: we still don’t know if it’s authentic. ---

I read what’s at that Twitter feed but I couldn’t find the manifesto on 8chan. I admit I am not familiar with that style BBS tho and have trouble navigating, searching or even reading posts in that format. What I did read was pretty vile and ignorant, tho. ETA: Every time I look at 8chan or 4chan, I feel dirty like Lady McBeth felt dirty. ---
