# actors associated with certain directors

What are some good examples of actors associated with certain directors? I’m thinking of actors that seem to work with certain directors every once in a while (like Tom Hanks star in movies directed by Spielberg or Zemeckis), rather than just having had a single big hit (like John Travolta with Pulp Fiction). As in, it appears that the actor and director have a “bond” of sorts.

Tim Burton and Johnny Depp has become a bit of a joke among certain people.
As has Burton and Helena Bonham Carter, but their marriage is a much more obvious reason for that to happen.
