[Adam Baldwin](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Baldwin) is 49 and he still looks almost exactly the same as he did when he played Animal Mother in Full Metal Jacket 24 years ago. ---

In other words, Joan What’s-her-face’s picture probably looks a lot worse than she does in real life. Yup, she’s had too much plastic surgery, but she needs some nice make-up lady to be a little less generous with the shiny. That might explain the odd coloration around her mouth, but not the skin squinched under her eyes, or the drawn on eyebrows and overdone eye make up, or the puffy lips like she got punched in the face. On the eyebrows, I’m guessing she had the face lift to remove forehead wrinkles, then plucked the eyebrows to remove the “surprised” look and then drew them in so she’d actually have eyebrows. My mom way overdid plucking when she was young - she didn’t know better - and now has to draw them in to have any. Jeez, don’t these people research who’s going to carve up their faces? It’s really hard to believe the outcome is such a crapshoot. I can’t help but think there are some clumsy butchers working in that town and somehow the word doesn’t get out. Every one of those people with a horror story face can afford the absolute best. I wonder if the best people are booked way ahead, and the “gotta have it today” celeb mindset heads them down the street to Dr. Nick Riviera’s Plastic Emporium? ---

The sad thing? I’ve seen before-and-after pictures of people who have had cosmetic surgery with many of the same procedures who DON’T look like caricatures of themselves. Cheek implants, for example, can be quite subtle. Hollywood, though, doesn’t seem to do subtle. Maybe they’re so used to seeing everyone looking like a freak that they no longer know what normal looks like? Really, it’s like some of these facial distortions are a _style_. ---

Not an actor, but… Barry Manilow. He was on a Piers Morgan ep recently and he [looks like ET](http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bQ0SqifjNcg/S58FWuKkFII/AAAAAAAASow/dBxEVKLIOpg/s400/barry-manilow-plastic-surgery-2.jpg). And also not an actor but such a celebrity and star-friend and has played himself in several vehicles- Hugh Hefner. He has gone from iconoclast to icon to just ‘damned old fool’. It’s not facelifts and hair dye with him so much as the fact he’s still trying to project the image of swinger and sexual bon vivant at 85 and that farce with the 25 year old fiancee would get him committed if he was my father or grandfather. And stop with the damned pajamas and robe: it was one image when you were 40 or even 65 but men your age are _often_ in pajamas and robe all day and it ain’t cause they’re bringing bring sexy back. ---

I never suspected cheek implants in manilow. I thought he was just losing body mass as he ages. This tends to cause your cheeks to become sunken and cheekbones will appear to stick out.
