I’d like to make a prediction. Sometime… oh, let’s say in the next thirty days, someone will post a stupid thread in the wrong forum. **Manhattan** will come along, point out that the thread is stupid and in the wrong forum, and close the thread. Whoever started the thread will then run down to the Pit and start a “Fuck you, **Manhattan**!” thread. The majority of the posters will, as usual, side with **Manny**. Not only that, but I predict that this will happen again, and again, and again, and… ---

Manny closed two of my more outrageously controversial threads (how to be a big cat handler, how to get a job in residence at a sleepy college) in GQ. Okay. No big deal. I reposted in IMHO and got the factual answer I was looking for within 6 posts. Was I a loser for not pitting him? Will any of you respect me in the morning? SUCCESS!!! I just talked with a close friend, (one of the many that can confirm I’ve used the term “Matrix” for several years) and since he’s much more of a hockey fan than I am, he came up with the reason why I misinterpreted the vision in the first place. A. What I wrong is NOT a word-for-word transcription from my writings. I use terms in my notes that would make ZERO sense to anyone else…hell, even my poetic translation didn’t make sense to anyone!! And yes, I was being deliberately poetic, because, let’s face it, many written prophesies are indeed quite beautiful. Like Revelations, for example. B. Note that I said, “The Gold half struck the city of Anaheim.” NOT the Mighty Ducks themselves. And the 7th game was NOT played in Anaheim, like I had assumed. (Really, I did look up the places and dates on the Internet, and I _thought_ I had read that Game 6 was Jersey and Game 7 was Anaheim, but somehow I reversed them.) HOWEVER…they DID win the Western Conference Championship, which they had never won before, and were a “cinderella” team even then. And the Championship WAS won on home turf. The stickler is, of course, I specified “World” when relating to the championship. (My friend didn’t catch that one, for some reason, when he called me, so when I saw that in what I wrote, it gave me brief pause.) Well, all I can say is, I’m owning that up to a typo, or a mis-translation. 😛 So, here is where I went wrong: it WAS a true vision, but of the PAST (which I have frequently, and can interpret quite well) and NOT of the FUTURE (which, as I said already in this thread or the other ones, are very infrequent, _but always true_.) So really, my BIGGEST error of all was being go goddamn confident and full of myself, that I made the post in haste, without having thought it all through. In the wrong forum, no less. Let me repeat that (since that seems to be necessary sometimes): IT WAS NOT A PROPHECY OF THE FUTURE. IT WAS A VISION OF THE PAST. What I saw had ALREADY HAPPENED. (Didn’t I say that in my original OP, in some form or another?) So that’s it. Victory, at last. (Well, for now. We’ll see how people take this.) And here are my (maybe) parting words: 1. To everyone, including those who read this but did not contribute, I apologize unreservedly for my behavoir and for the mistakes I made. I make no claims that I was misguided, possessed, or anything else, despite the fact that there WAS that factor involved, but…like all adults must do, even if they feel they are not at fault…I take full responsibility for my actions and what followed. 2. If anyone wishes to apologize for _their_ behavior, I accept in advance, and don’t feel you need to post an apology unless you feel you _owe_ me one. **IMPORTANT!:** I do NOT feel that ANYONE here owes me an apology, or anything else. Period. Well, except for UncleBill, and a couple others (whose nicks I can’t remember and I don’t feel like rereading this train wreck of a thread to find out…there’s only one or two others) who crossed the line. And manny, of course. (Once again, I do NOT expect, or feel that anyone OWES me an apology, save those exceptions noted above.) 3. If anyone has decided that this is all bullshit and I’m just a random psycho trying to talk myself out of an embarrassing situation…your opinions mean nothing. Because this is not about YOU, this is about ME. It was definitely a mistake to reveal such a personal vision to the world in the first place, esp. a “false positive” one, and hey, it’s my life and it’s none of your business, anyway. I won’t even say “Fuck you all,” even though I’m tempted to, because I’m not playing that game anymore. I’ve risen above it. So think what you want to think, I don’t care. (Something tells me that the overwhelming majority of people who responded fall in to category #3…) 1. For those of you who were here just to “witness the meltdown of KGS”, well…sorry to disappoint you. Or maybe this is what you came here to see, after all. (Has anyone ever risen from the ashes like this? Seriously, I’d like to know.) 2. Those very few who are genuinely _intrigued_ by this latest development, please post your replies in the GD (now moved to MPSIMS, apparently) thread, as I will not be reading this one again, at least not for the next few days. I’m making no judgement about what a vision actually is – I’m just noting his description of the experience. I’ve observed that people who report having a vision say that it has a different subjective quality. They might interpret the experience as a memory, but the feeling and sense is unique in a way that is important to them. It feels meaningful even if they can’t piece together what is logically important about it. I would bet that a specific part of the brain gets stimulated to create a feeling of importance and meaningfulness. ---

I don’t think you’re particularly a random psycho, but I think you have issues. Anyways, that’s between you and your psychologist. BTW, there are scores of people on this MB treated for psychological illness - myself as one of them. It’s not exactly seen as a ‘bid for sympathy’ around here. You know what? For years now I think I have been able to subconsciously contact people I’m close to, to make them aware of me and what I want, to be able to tell when they’re close to me or further away, to help them with mental anguish and pain. It feels like it works. I can even reason it out - to myself. However, thanks to my logical-to-overkill brain portion (the same part that wouldn’t let me believe in Santa or the Tooth Fairy as a 4 year old) I know it’s likely a mental abberation - and I try not to inflict it on others. ---

Because of the piety, devotion and goodness displayed by the people in the cult, the aliens had decided not to destroy the world, and so no spaceship rescue was necessary. The cult disbanded in joy. So, to sum up: no, you’re not the first to “rise from the ashes”, as you put it, but yes, you are a random psycho trying to talk himself out of an embarrassing situation, and if you are serious with what you’ve written here, you should seek help. I took the liberty of checking out this kid’s website. Just got in the from the closed MPSIMS thread. IANAD/P, but this is getting scary. **KGS** is obviously laboring under a host of delusions and has significant emotional and social problems. **KGS** , if you’re out there, please, get help. You mentioned you were seeing a therapist. Please continue, and if you don’t feel you’re making progress, find another one. There are many, many competent and caring therapists out there. Also, you mentioned you are taking Xanax- are you currently on any other medications? Have you discussed with your doctor the possibility of trying one? Please, I am not mocking you or trying to be offensive. But you are becoming more and more incoherent in your posts, you have mentioned suicide and a belief that you are being attacked and/or conspired against. This is not normal. Please, please, get help. Talking to strangers on a message board is not the way to go about this. ---
