Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 66 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 75 and the Apocalypse for the day. Seriously. One hunnert percent chance of rain, winds up to 75mph, chance of tornados, tstorms, doooooooooooooooooooooom!!! Or not. We shall see. Ok, that’s pretty much all I got. I have to deal with TPTB for a while today. ICK! Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. Happy Hump Day Y’all! ---

I just want to say that [del]fartblossoms[/del] Brussels Sprouts are the one food substance even bacon can’t help. ---

That recipe’s no good for me- I like brussels sprouts but not bacon. I’d better keep away from **Swampy** , or he might burn me as a heretic… Blurfy day again, couldn’t sleep, then when I did finally get to sleep, couldn’t wake up. Now I’m all headachey and cross, and I have to go to the laundrette and I don’t want to. ---

Oh, and in other news… Today is my son’s 18th birthday! Holy cow- he’s an adult. This milestone actually worries more than any other- he can do things, legally, without permission from me. Tattoos, marry this girl he’s fallen head-over-heels with and who is very serious about him, join the navy, whatever. These are real decisions that are permanent and life altering and in a moment of impulsivity, he can go do it. I don’t hink he will, but it’s disquieting that he can. And he has to register for the draft. Not that I can expect him to be drafted anytime soon, but again, it’s that he might… ---

My brussel sprouts recipie: Cut off stub end and throw away. Cut sprout in halves. Chop up some onion Brown some pine nuts it about 1/4 tbsp of buttah, set aside. Melt 1/2 a stick of buttah in a fry pan. Add chopped onion to pan Place brussel sprouts face down in the buttah and onions Put heat on medium high Cover Leave it alone for 8 minutes or so. Check in to see if you need to add more buttah (I always add at least another 1/4). Brussel sprouts should start to looked burned, thats the way you want them. Remove cover and continue to cook to your taste consistency. Serve with pine nuts. Die of a heart attack because you just consumed most of a stick of butter in one sitting. ---

My son is coming up on 18. Lots of decisions to make, where to go to college, what to take, and he has to get a job now. His Social Security will be cut off too, I wish it would last through college. ---

I like bacon, but it doesn’t like me. I was joking with my doc a couple years ago how it is a self-limiting condition. I know that eating three pieces of bacon will bring not only increased girth but intestinal doom, so if I have bacon, I know not to have very much of it. The other day, I had some morning babble show on in the background. Think it was Rachael Ray, and someone was demonstrating how they basket-weave eight strips of bacon and bake it into a solid mat for making BLTs. I got queasy just thinking of that much grease. ---
