Okay, that band has an ‘e’ at the end of it.
And for Row 2, #6: Z Z Top, Eliminator
We’re up to 44 correct now, right?
Row 2, No. 4 … is incorrectly labeled as a Frank Zappa album when the actual credited artists were The Mothers of Invention
Euty the database for the game takes the artist name as Frank Zappa, so I guess we have to go with what it will accept. Makes me wonder what else is mislabeled, though.
I managed a little more than 20 myself and then cheated with AMG, since I remembeed the artist, but not the name of the album. I knew it was Queen, but not which album since I stopped caring about them after Queen SHA
Right now, I’m missing these:
2.1
3.3
3.6 (which looks so damn familiar)
4.5
6.3
6.5
7.2 (I get an early 80’s feeling)
8.1
8.4
Row 7, #2
UFO - Strangers In The Night
One thing my co-workers are good for is classic rock trivia.
Row 6, #3
Bad Company - Run With The Pack

I got it!
Row 3 #3
Saxon: Crusader
Up to 49 now.
Fern Forest and tansfattl you are right. I guess I wanted to see that as correct.
So who else has Frazetta done album covers for?
Eutychus, yes. I fought with it for about 10 minutes until I hit the name the game wanted, but I absolutely agree with you.
Thanks for all the additions folks! We’re off to see a “Trilogy Thursday” showing of all three Lord of the Rings films (Extended versions even!) at a local theater, so I’ll update my list later when we get home, bottom hurting but oh so happy.
Row 3, #6 is a new album. I’ve seen it advertised on MySpace, but I don’t remember who it was by. I think this whole thing is a clever ad to place this new album in with all these “classics.”
I’m glad I listed ours here as the site did not, in fact, save my entries.
Huh, I know for a fact (and double checked with the spoilers on the thread) that I got some right, but the site didn’t recognise most of my entries for some reason.
Seventies rock fans aside, anyone who did Art at school in the late seventies/early eighties will recognise most of those covers, if only from all the dreadful attempts at copying them.
Interesting game, but it does not give me any kind of score and I know I am right on several of them.
Martha and melondeca this site is very picky when it comes to what it will accept as a valid entry. Which ones do you think you have the right answers to? tanstaafl’s list above (post #28) and a couple after that have what we know. to this point. We only need 5 more.
Are you using Firefox? The game would not work for me in Firefox and I’m having to play it in IE. Not sure what its using that Firefox doesn’t like but…
Firefox was the problem, but it did work in the end.
I got 10:
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Supertramp - Breakfast in America
David Bowie - Aladdin Sane
Eagles - Hotel California
Doors - LA Woman
King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
Deep Purple - In Rock
Jethro Tull - Aqualung
CSNY - Deja Vu
Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA
Should have got, seeing as most are among my favourites:
Led Zep’s Houses of the Holy
Cream - Disraeli Gears
Who - Tommy
Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed
Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland
Also recognised Rainbow and Motorhead, but didn’t know the titles.
