I think you know that. “In re-reading, I suppose you could be simply explaining the procedure that you used,” Truly I was. “or heaping scorn on the idea that all Internet mispellings need to be corrected…” No heaping of scorn. That was not my intention. I suppose my sarcasm could be misinterpreted, for sure. “but certainly on first read, your post seemed to suggest you were defending your typo as an accurate spelling, based on your Google research.” I did incorrectly assume that my Google research was correct. I’ve never had the issue arise before. I assumed I was getting the correct info - - really, I didn’t know I had to go and look up all possible spellings of a word in the dictionary and then search on google before posting. lol! But I wasn’t justifying or defending my misspelling of the word - - I just didn’t know it was misspelled. I can plead ignorance right? lol! Oy. Anyway…thank you for your time Bricker. 😉 Namaste. There’s my intention behind it. “Asking someone if they’re being sanctimonious means “I think you’re being sanctimonious, but I just don’t want to come out and say it”” I again think this is assuming intent and I don’t think it’s appropriate for you to do so. If you want clarification for something I say, I’d be glad to help you out. I was asking someone else’s intent because I didn’t want to assume that I was correct in my perception of her intent. Sweet Christ **OneYogini**! In case you’re too dense to realize (and you’re very much coming off that way in this thread) your incessant use of “lol!” is making a great deal of us want to stab ourselves in the eye with the nearest sharp object. This isn’t a teen chat room. In case your keen sense of observation hasn’t picked up on it, most people around here don’t use “lol”. It makes you sound like a giggly 12 year old. Too keep doing it when posters here have not so subtly hinted that it’s highly annoying is just antagonistic. Claiming to be all about peace, love and rainbows while blatently being antagonistic towards those you’re claiming to be making peace with is for lack of a more eloquent term, really fucked the hell up. ---

Hi Lez. “your incessant use of “lol!” is making a great deal of us want to stab ourselves in the eye with the nearest sharp object” Good Lord. It appears "a great deal of _you_ " are wound too tightly. I think I said before I use “lol” or emoticons to make the point that I’m not becoming overly aggitated or ruffled by other folks and that I don’t want them to take everything I say so seriously. If it is bothering "a great deal of _you_ " then I will take that into consideration if and when I post in the Pit. Thank you for pointing that out Lez, I wouldn’t want to be the cause of you inflicting pain on yourself. “Too keep doing it when posters here have not so subtly hinted that it’s highly annoying is just antagonistic.” I didn’t pick up the subtle hints. That’s why I kept pointing out “assuming” - - it’s hard to note someone’s intent online. I personally ask for clarification a lot because I’ve been misread and I’ve misread others. I try to avoid that as best I can. It’s easier if someone, without freaking out, would just say…“hey, the lol’s are annoying, could you cut it out?”. It’s all in the way you approach someone, ya’ know?
