Okay, living near DC, I should know this, but… What is Blair House used for? I thought I had heard at one point that the VP lived there.

Blair House is the official guest residence for visiting heads of state. The Trumans spent most of HST’s administation there while the White House was being remodeled. IIRC there was an assasination attempt on HST while he was there.

You’re exactly right, and I did have it in my first draft. Is it still called that? It’s also called the Naval Observatory.
