Gosh, so _many_ things just since becoming a Doper. I can think of several off-hand. I was wrong in thinking that: [ul] [li] atheists have no basis for forming a morality[/li][li] Gaudere and DavidB are both males and lovers[/li][li] I couldn’t challenge a moderator’s unofficial opinion[/li][li] .99999… does not equal 1[/li][li] evolution is an unsound theory[/li][li] macroeconomists still prognosticate[/li][li] it is impossible to derive D logic from S logic[/li][li] passion is always the best way to lead[/li][li] homosexuality is a choice[/li][li] other views of God are invalid[/li][li] fundamentalism equals extremism[/li][/ul] And there are so many various and sundry times when I’ve assumed the worst about a post or poster, only to find that either I misinterpreted what was being said or else was ignorant about the facts. ---

Jeez, folks, this one seems to have started out with an attitude of real contrition, and you’ve done nothing but post facile jokes. Give **Blalron** some credit for doing something very few people do, and at least acknowledge him. Good show, **Blalron** ; starting this thread took guts, and I commend you for it. I’ve had my opinion on Frank Zappa revised through a conversation in Cafe Society, and I’m glad for it. (That’s about the biggest debate I’ve entered into here; wish I had something better to contribute.) ---

Fair do’s **jackelope** ; humbled by your post, I’ll admit I’ve been wrong about a load of things, inlcuding: [ul][li]The whole damn creationism/biblical literalism thing.[/li][li]The belief that genetic modification can only be bad.[/li][li]The idea that the plight of homosexual people was none of my business.[/li][li]Also an assortment of those already outlined by **Lib** [/li][/ul] ---

I have rejected friendships offered by good people because I refused to trust anybody. I was wrong. I turned away from my culture because of a dispute with my father. I was wrong, and am now paying the price. I refused to allow anybody get close to me emotionally, **Washte** has shown me that I was wrong. ---

I needed to clean my monitor anyway and the coffee, that I sprayed through my nostrils when I read your post, actually worked pretty well. I thought that I would forgive and forget that my sisters ripped me off for my share of the family inheritance. I was wrong. I imagined that when my children were grown and off on their own I would stop worrying about them. I was wrong. I believed that “other” people become political activists. Wrong again. ---

If we’re being serious…after speaking to many dopers and my doctor, I was WRONG to try and quit Celexa cold turkey. It thrust me into a week of nausea and misery that could have been prevented if I wasn’t such an ass.
