I as a different sort of Christian could have made fun of Eucharist in the same way. Nothing in the Bible says that the bread or wine is holy. Sure, it was consecrated, but so is food in general when you pray over it. Getting upset over a jab at how you interpret Communion seems silly. Like getting upset over someone making fun of the Trinity. I believe in the Trinity, and even I admit it’s a weird, silly sounding thing.
