AP suspended for the rest of the year, no pay. He’s appealing, of course. [Adrian Peterson of Minnesota Vikings suspended for at least rest of season - ESPN](http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11896187/adrian-peterson-minnesota-vikings-suspended-least-rest-season)

Probably will never play for the Vikings again. I suspect he will play for another team, though.

Any idea how much “without pay” will actually amount to?

According to [this site](http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings/yearly/), Peterson’s 2014 salary is $14,400,000. Assuming that the salary is divided into 16 game checks (I can’t remember if NFL players receive a paycheck on the bye week), that’d be a weekly check of $900,000 (before taxes, of course), or a six-week hit of $5,400,000.
