# Advanced Search extends out of the frame and can't be sized to fit the window.

Admins,

I can’t get the Advanced Search page to resize to fit in the window.

I can see "Find posts by and about 1/2 of the U in User Name.

FWIW I’m running a Linux Mint 19 machine, I don’t recall seeing this problem prior to today; Saturday, 6-Apr-19. I have been visiting the SDMB for many years using Linux machines without experiencing this problem.

Please do what you can, I’d be very much obliged.

As far as I am aware, they may have been playing with ads a bit, but they haven’t touched anything related to the search function.

What browser are you using, and has it done any recent updates?

My linux box went to the great big bit bucket in the sky, so I can’t personally test this at the moment.

I experience this on SultanTheme if the zoom is too high. For my computer, 125% is the sweet spot where it fits. After that, it jumps and part of the page is cut off.

Found the problem. It’s in [https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/images/SultanThemeVB3R/css/st-responsive.css](https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/images/SultanThemeVB3R/css/st-responsive.css)

At line 1335, the following needs to be **removed** :

```php
html.range_3 .panelsurround .panel .bginput {
    width: 650px!important;
}

```

I hadn’t bothered trying to figure it out before, since I don’t use Advanced Search much, and, since no one mentioned the problem before, I never thought anyone zoomed in that far.

I also fixed it in my [Style Fixer script](https://openuserjs.org/scripts/BigTSDMB/SDMB_Style_TweakerFixer).

TubaDiva

I had my zoom set to 200%, I reduced my zoom to 150% and can see all of the Advanced Search Page now. I still don’t know why I couldn’t drag the SDMB advanced search into view, but reducing the zoom proved to have a functionally similar effect.
