# Advantages of being 14 years old?

Hey, we were all 14 at one time. You wouldn’t know the advantages about 14 at 14, but you’ll see them at 16 🙂

Actually, **Kerrigan** , (nice name, BTW), this would be a good place to contribute. What are the advantages, as you see them, if any, of being fourteen? Do you like it? Does it suck?

I actually, really want to know. I barely remember most of that time, and I’d like some perspective on what it was like.

I was a major dork when I was 14. There are no advantages that I remember. Your peers start to get really mean then; in grade school, the popular ones would just avoid you. Now, at the age of 14, they feel they have to constantly remind you how much of a loser you are. You’re not used to it, so it hurts. A lot. Then, when you’re 16, they pretty much leave you alone again.
