# Advertising

I was wondering, fellow dopers, what you think is the best way to advertise. I mean where would you see an ad that sticks in your head and how would it go about advertising that made it so memorable. Feel free to say your favorite ad in this thread.

Depending upon what your trying to advertise, the subway is a great option. Tons of people everyday looking for something to do to pass the short time in between stops while not making eye contact with strangers. Free samples never hurt either.

A friend of mine and I own a computer company. Just a small time limited budget for fun sort of thing. Although I must say we make a good product. I was just wondering a good way to boost sales.

IMHO, the best advertising is in bus shelters or bathrooms, especially if your ad is amusing. A captive audience looking for entertainment just can’t go wrong.
