After my typical workout, I feel...

Jittery, tired, and STARVING TO DEATH. Then I fall asleep. Not unpleasant, but I’m another who has never gotten that mythical endorphin rush that is supposed to feel so damn good. I’m proud of myself, and tired in a nice physical way that doesn’t really happen outside of working out because I’m really sedentary, but I never feel awesome or amped up.

I continue to sweat, even after showering, for a good 20 minutes. Then I’m useless for a few hours.

The exercise really takes it out of me. I do it because I feel better overall, but right after…not so much.

Typical workout for me is my day (night) at work. A couple of times during a shift, I crawl around underneath, picking up dropped mailpieces. Following this, I stand upright again. Over the course of eight hours, I also walk for several hundred yards within the building.

If I get assigned to perform daily maintenance on a DBCS machine, that includes locking out the equipment and checking with a multimeter that power has been removed. So that means I have to struggle into a set of overalls for PPE. And then out of them again.

So, after a TYPICAL workout, I feel like driving home and going to bed.

I do not deliberately seek out opportunities to exert myself physically, and I have a difficult time imagining a set of circumstances that would find me wanting to.

I usually feel tired, slightly guilty, with a faint ache in my right forearm.
