I went out to supper the other night with some gay friends (one a former Idaho resident and a fraternity brother of Sen. Craig) and they mentioned that after the way he was unceremoniously thrown overboard by the Republican Party, future gay Republicans would just quietly commit suicide rather than face this. Then today I see the news that a conservative, anti-gay Republican from Ohio has been found dead in his apartment – cause of death unknown. I thought they were joking when they mentioned suicide. But then this news … Does anyone have any more info on this? Was Rep. Gilmor yet another closeted, self-hating gay Republican? ---

He was in his sixties and in mediocre health. There will probably be an autopsy – unfortunately you’ll have to wait a few days for the gory details. ---
