I remember thinking it looked like a fake commercial from SNL. Which does make it kind of clever, but maybe not so much effective. ---

They replaced the adorably lying zit-faced girl with pimple popping? Why? I’m sure I’d never watch that commercial. I can’t even deal with Dr. Pimple Popper commercials. ---

There’s a Wendy’s commerical (I think - if I just wait a bit, it’ll come on again…) where they think they are mocking McDonalds. “We put a bun…INSIDE the sandwich. Bun Bun Bun.” I’m sorry - that ship sailed 50 years ago. No matter your personal opinion of the Big Mac, the people that like it have made their peace with the extra bun heel long ago. No one is going to say “WOW I never noticed the extra bun! I’ve been tricked! I think I’ll go buy a Wendy’s chicken sandwich, which isn’t even a burger! Thank you, ad guy!” ---
