That Enbrel commercial with the woman who both coaches baseball and also paints houses in ripped jeans as been in a new commercial that adds a third set of skills to her quirky repertoire, now she also plays drums. ---

There is one showing in heavy rotation now, about some kind of unwanted muscle movement after taking Anti-Depressants. They basic say, _" We don’t know how this works, but we think this might help"._ What the Literal Fuck??? Are we just guessing about medication these days now??? And as always, the side-effects make the “problem” seem trivial. Especially to someone who is on Anti-Depressants. Goddamn. Who has Approvals on this shit??? ---

That’s why they can stumble in to new treatment uses for existing meds. ---

It doesn’t really matter whether you’ve visited a country, a state, a county or an intersection where “certain fungal infections are common” - the ads never tell you which fungal infections they are talking about and where they are common so there isn’t any way to tell what travel you need to tell your doctor about. Am I supposed to tell the doctor if I traveled to a place where ringworm is common or one where Paracoccidioidomycosis is common. And how would I know if I traveled to a place where one s common- sure, I know I traveled to Mexico but how would I know if Paracoccidioidomycosis is common there? Same as the drug warning that say " Do not take drug X if you are allergic to drug x or any of its ingredients." If I know I’m allergic to drug X, I shouldn’t need to be warned not to take it- but how can I know if I’m allergic to the ingredients if I don’t know what the ingredients _are_. These particular warnings are useless - if they were meant to be useful the ads would tell you in which countries the fungal infection of concern is common ( it’s very easy to know whether I’ve been to Brazil ) or the ingredients of the drug ( it’s very easy to know if I am allergic to acetaminophen , but not necessarily common knowledge that it’s a ingredient in Vicodin, or Lortab) ---

I can’t find a link to it yet, and I actually didn’t find it very upsetting, but there’s a commercial I saw several times this weekend about women pooping. I think it’s for some kind of supplement, and has women saying things like, “It’s 2021…I think it’s time everyone knew that women poop” and “I love pooping!” Several shots of women sitting on toilets. Y’all are gonna love it. ---

I haven’t seen it, she actually says “I love pooping!”? What potential customer are they trying for here? The closest I’ve ever come to loving it was when I’d examine the paper and it was spotless, so that was more loving the cleanup than the actual dumping.
