**Mrs. FtG** is subscribed to the MLB app to watch Her Team. Commercial breaks are often blank but those ads they do run they and run and run and run. Not just into the ground but into the depths of Hell. The worst is one for a betting company with an over excited woman practically screaming. (And of course the ad itself screams “Scam!”) We used to be able to FF thru these but they “upgraded” the app and the FF function is 99% broken. They will also run crypto and such ads and you see them elsewhere. Yeah, I want to toss my money away! I have no idea why the various leagues allow betting site ads. (As to NFTs like bored whatever. It’s just a link folks. Nothing more. No copyright, nothing. A link to an image/video that is publicly accessible. So anyone can copy the “original”. Anyone. And when the company folds up and the site goes down, your link is dead. Try selling that to the next idiot.) ---

You’re not buying the image, or even the link to the image. You’re buying the _idea_ that a link to an image has value. They’re trying to sell the idea of making value out of thin air. Hyundai Tuscon. Dude and wife arrive at a bar or something in the country. Only one spot, but too small for anything. So dude & dudette get out of SUV, then use automatic parking to get SUV in spot, with inches to spare on both sides… which _totally and completely fucks over_ the driver on their left, who now can’t get into their car. Super rude, and will likely get their nice new SUV either towed or vandalized. ---

The commercial for Little Caesars where a man is telling his son how much he loves the thin crust pizza …and then proceeds to use a slice like a stone that he skips on the lake. That’s some great advertising; actively show the product being trashed. And then we see another father on the other side of the lake catch the incoming slice and eat it 🤢 Congratulations, Little Caeasars; if your goal is to make me liken your food to rocks that are best used to throw into a lake, you nailed it. Not on TV (that I know of) but when I play the freebie games on my tablet, I get ads between levels. Lately, I’ve been inundated with _Weight Loss Gummies_ that apparently let you lose 45 pounds in 21 days! And not only do you lose all that weight, but you become fit and toned and your hair grows 6" too! It must be true, because these ads have variously had Dr. Oz, Oprah, and the gang from Shark Tank getting excited and nodding their approval! OMG! It’s a miracle!!! Yet you only find out about it if you’re playing the freebie games from Google Play. Doesn’t seem like a smart use of advertising dollars… 🤣 Oh, yeah, and every day for the last few weeks has been “Last day to get a free bottle of these magical gummies!!!” Annoying and scammy… ---

The freebie ads that get me are the constant, and I mean CONSTANT, women and children abused by men. Being cheated on, left at the altar, tossed off of mountains and ships, slapped around, ect. And they all end with the woman and children dirty, poor and crying. Who are they targeting? It must work because these types of ads are endemic. ---
