Apologies if this has been mentioned (hope I didn’t) but I just saw this one for the gazillionth time. I want to punch the woman who says “Age is just a number… and mine is unlisted.” Just shut up. Quit advancing the myth that one’s age should be a mystery. Quit. Now. For the record, my number as I post this is 68. So what?? Also hate “poise in her pants.” Really? ---

_What The Hell_ is up with these invasive Dollar Loan Center ads? They seem to be on constantly, complete with the sexy credit underwriters in short dresses and lab coats, an endless rotation of random C-list ‘Celebrities’ riding a Pimped-out Zamboni and fireworks??? I’ve seen 4 of them today, in the last hour. Enough Already! Who the fuck are they trying to reach with this shit??? And Lindsey Vonn is shilling some sleep aid that the side effects seem absolutely horrific. Shit turns you into the Walking Dead. No Thank You! I’m watching too much TV lately. ---

Yeah, and how many sea turtle egg nests did he crush in the process of “cleaning-up” the beach Also, I noticed the beach at the end seemed to be conspicuously absent of birds which would’ve cut down on the number nearly-hatched turtles that reached the ocean. Of course, that would’ve made the commercial rather depressing. ---

Although what appears to be happening in the commercial is the sea turtles coming onto the beach to lay eggs. So I don’t think there is anything to crush. ---

The most recent Dominos (Little Caesers?) ad where there is a major deal only online, so it shows a bunch of people freaking out about it. Except it shows multiple people running out of their own house. Where are they running to? Why are you leaving your house, where your computer is, to do the online-only deal? Sure I understand the dude in the haircut place or the carwash…but the rest are just stupid ---

I’m old enough to remember when Jan from Toyota didn’t actually work in a Toyota dealership, but was just a regular mom spokesperson extolling the values of Toyota SUVs for her family. A regular mom spokesperson with six-inch stiletto heels, sure, but still … Then Toyota and the ad agency decided it’d be great to make Jan a dealership receptionist or something like that. ---

I see this dude in full riding leathers picking up trash on the beach. I go to my car, get a couple of bags, and help. We go for the bigger items, not stopping to pick up butts or anything. We overfill all of the beaches trash cans, use up all my trash bags, and still leave a large pile of bottles and can outside the overfill recycle bin. It was not hard work, and the weather was nice but chilly, so fine. Those tines would have got maybe 1/2 the stuff, and would have broken bottles and such.
