I don’t think that it’s that Alec isn’t cute anymore, it’s that he’s aged out. But, as I said earlier in this thread, I don’t think that is a reason to dump him. Though I can see why they’re looking for an age appropriate spokeskid. Doesn’t mean Alec needs to be replaced. Also, maybe _he’s_ trying to move on. I hope that’s true. ---

Why does Jared keep making and playing those, stupid, horrible, asinine, women-pretend-crying diamond commercials? I think I have complained about them before but, all of a sudden, I’m seeing ‘a man has excepted me as a daughter’ and the very much hated ‘my husband didn’t abandon me when I fell ill’ crying dumb bitches all over the fucking place. And the worst kind of fake crying too. For the stupidest goddamned reasons. But the basic reason all of these fools are crying is because they need thousands and thousands of dollars spent on a blood diamond obtained by the death of hundreds of third world citizens to feel loved. AARRGGHHGG!!! ---

Yeah the diamond and jewelry commercials emerging because of Valentine’s Day. Like, the guy could be a total abusive a-hole schmuck, but hey, if he gives me a diamond, that makes it all o-kay! Even more egregious are the “Only Natural Diamonds” ads that have been running lately. I mean, why would you possibly want a lab-grown diamond that is _exactly the same in every way_ when you could have one that was dug up from the ground by exploited slave labor risking their lives? ---

Didn’t Congress appropriate some money last year for the IRS to revamp their computer systems, and part of that was supposed to be to make it easier for people to e-file directly with the IRS? I get the feeling TurboTax knows theirs days as a tax prep software company are numbered, and are repositioning themselves as a tax prep company like H&R Block or Jackson Hewitt. (Another reason I think TurboTax knows their days are numbered is because they are jacking up the price – my copy of TurboTax was about $20 more this year than last, and that was the sale price!)
