Oh dear sweet Jeebus I just saw a commercial full of close-ups of people’s nasty, dirty, cracked feet. I just ate dinner, and I feel like heaving. Why would they air something like that at this time of night??? ---

The “can you hear me now?” Verizon guy’s defection to be AT&T’s spokeshole telling us how much better AT is than Verizon, who he flogged for years, makes him seem like a slimey liar. ---

i CAN’T STAND the new commercial for MasterCard. it’s just a bunch of random people singing “can’t judge a book by its cover” repeatedly in a couple different styles, all incredibly grating. it appears that at least one of them is a famous artist but, ugh. UGH. and i have absolutely no clue what any of this has to do with MasterCard?! ---

I hate the damn radio/Pandora ad for SimpliSafe security that posits, with the cheesiest dramatization ever, that the only thing in life possibly worse than your home being burglarized is … DUN DUN DUN! making a telephone call. :rolleyes: Also, the woman calling for the security system is whispering like she thinks the burglar is still in the house. :eek: No, call the cops first, then your insurance company, and only then order a security system. 😛 ---

My immediate reaction to the commercial is “Yeah, sure, go see your doctor and ask about atopic dermatitis, and he’ll say yep, that’s eczema.” Apparently there are other types, but this commercial shouldn’t be giving new information to eczema sufferers. Their doctors should already have identified and explained the type they have. ---

There’s an ad for the Wish app where a woman opens a package with a flowery blouse in it and screams hysterically, multiple times, and then hands it to her teenaged son/brother. Did she buy it for herself? Did she buy it for the teenager? Did the teenager buy it for her? Not only is the screaming annoying, but I don’t understand the ad. ---

Applebee’s is now using Melissa Etheridge’s “Come to my Window” for a take out ad. That’s almost as weird as “Lust for Life” for cruise ships. Just from completely missing the point of the song. ---
